Hier noch mal ein Update von meiner Gesundheit, werde jetzt erst mal einen Monat im Krankenhaus bleiben leider. Hello! I owe you an update on my health. Two months ago I realised a sudden weight loss and started to see doctors. Since then, I spent many days at hospitals to get checked by specalisists, performed 100+ blood and other tests. It turns out that my spleen is exremely large, which can cause problems. To fix this Splenomegaly problem, we had to find the underlying root cause for it. For that I was hospitalised in Podgorica on Tuesday, luckily its a nice newly renovated clinic and I feel that I am in good hands here! Everybody here is very nice and positive.
Today I have been diagnosed with Leishmania, a disease transmitted by sandflies. It is pretty rare to see in humans and can not be transmitted from human to human. I probably got it straight from the sandflies in Ulcinj when I camped there at the beach last summer. Or from a dog that was bitten by a sandfly. After an initial standard blood test that can also be often false-positive, a much more accurate PCR test has today confirmed it. We also did an extract of my bone marrow, where we could not find the parasite. That could be because it is still in early stages and with that, healing chances are over 95%! Just a few hours ago, we started with the first dose of Amphotericin B to treat the Leishmania. This will take another 21 days in total in the hospital from now to finish treatment.
Sadly I will not be able to join my family in Germany to celebrate Christmas, and I will also not be able to take the flights for my previously booked holidays to Saudi Arabia, Oman etc. Instead, I will focus on my health and make sure I can finally add those missing KG and muscles back to my body 
Thats it for now, everything will be okay! I wish you all a merry Christmas, hope you can celebrate it with your loved ones I will catch up with my family for Easter, so the Tower reopening might be a little bit later as planned.

Immerhin Gewissheit. Insb bei Gewichtsverlust denkt man ja sonst was. Alles gute dir!
